Reducing costs and creating opportunities
in the Education and Commercial sector
are our passions
Don (Beattie) started the business back in 1994.
Experience, close collaboration and easing the process of business rates and Council Tax has enabled the business to grow into a great team, working across the country advising clients on rating and corporate property matters.
We provide a targeted service for the commercial and education sectors – our collective talent pool draws on over 350 years’ experience, having amassed over 800 clients across the UK to endorse our services.
“We have been impressed with the professional and friendly service we have received from the Beattie Partnership and with the money saved.”
Edward Valletta – Bursar, Kimbolton School
Who we are
We are a friendly and approachable firm of Chartered Surveyors, having been established over 25 years ago, working tirelessly to save our clients’ money on their business rates and Council Tax.
What we stand for
Our hallmark is dealing with each job as a bespoke project, starting with its own high-level partner triage, with a surveyor then being tasked with pursuing an appeal where appropriate.
In the background, our administrative team deals with securing any eligible reliefs and rebates – ensuring the clients always comes first.
How can we help?
Simply scan and email over a copy rates bill and we can review your property portfolio on a ‘no obligation’ basis. We will conduct some initial research and let you know our thoughts on the scope to appeal.
Meet the Team
“Yes, I do exist!” Don is responsible for having made it all happen. He established the firm in 1994 and continues to be motivated by its success.
A proud husband and father of three, he is a competitive sportsman, and enjoys skiing, tennis, rugby, squash, cycling… well, almost anything actually!
Paul is the one you’ll probably get to speak to more often! He is responsible for identifying new opportunities, marketing and keeping clients happy.
Although work is top priority he does have another life outside work which includes his wife and 3 children. In his spare time, Paul likes to cycle and has recently done a charity ride for the British Heart Foundation.
Sarah has a forensic approach to her case work and is never seen without her notebook jotting down to dos (keeping the rest of the office in check)! She has extensive administrative and reporting experience – which is invaluable to all in her team. Sarah is one of newest members of team – she has settled in and is thriving in her new role.
Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities from walking to competing in open water swims.
Matthew joined the Beattie Partnership in 2012. Having studied mechanical engineering Matthew’s right at home whilst up to his eyeballs in data whether doing research, analysis or being an IT odd job man.
When not rummaging through spreadsheets Matthew’s a fanatical sports watcher, one year spending more money attending football matches then on rent!
Mike joined The Beattie Partnership in 2000 as a Referencer and is responsible for the inspection, survey and measurement of client properties from John o’Groats to Lands End.
When not on site or living in his car, his pastimes include bird watching and classical music.
